1. What materials do you use to create your art?
I primarily use acrylic paints, inks, oil paints, gold and silverleaf and non-yellowing varnishing mediums. I typically paint on all sorts of mediums, including canvas, wood, glass, ceramic and synthetic paper.
2. Where can I see your work displayed?
An indicative catalogue of work is available online in my Gallery. Some pieces are exhibited periodically in local galleries and other establishments. I also display some pieces for sale at the Picton Creative Traders Markets each month.
3. Why do prices vary?
The cost of producing a piece of artwork depends on several factors, including cost of materials (like canvas, paint, etc), time and planning devoted to the concept and final execution of the finished work.
4. Do you ship artwork internationally?
Please contact me for specific information relating to your country. I can provide shipping estimates, based on the dimensions of your art of interest and your location.
5. How are paintings shipped locally?
Depending on destination of the works, paintings can either be delivered personally or via courier, or posted. All care is taken to pack artwork in bubble wrap, polystyrene packing beans, etc to ensure it is well protected. Due to the delicate nature of some pieces, artwork is sent registered and insured post and will require a signature. Customers sometimes request delivery to their place of work to ensure safety.
6. I've seen a painting I like in your Gallery... how do I go about purchasing it?
Please contact me via the form on the contact page of this website. I will respond as soon as possible (usually within 24 hours) and let you know if the artwork is available for sale and also provide a shipping/delivery quote, if required.
7. What payment methods do you accept?
Artworks may be purchased via credit or debit cards (I invoice or EFTPOSvia Square), direct deposit or cash on delivery (personal deliveries only). Cheques and money orders are not accepted.
8. Do you do commissions or special requests?
Yes, I do commissions. However, due to the nature of the abstract work I create, no two pieces are ever the same. It is possible to sometimes utilise the same colour palette to create a similar-looking work, but the inherent characteristics of the medium and techniques dictate each painting's individuality. Every piece is completely unique and can never be replicated. For special requests for custom items, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the purchase price is required, with the balance payable on delivery. For orders over $500, the full amount is payable in advance.
9. Can I serve food from your products?
While we utilise materials and products which are as environmentally-aware as we can procure commercially, none are guaranteed food-safe. Therefore, it is not our recommendation to place food items directly on the surfaces of our products.
